Palouse Falls State Park offers great opportunities for visitors, specifically young families, to connect with the natural environment through the Junior Naturalist & River Rangers Program. As a 2020 Park Improvement Project grant recipient, this program will be able to offer more engaging, hands on experiences for youth through the exploration of skulls, pelts, replica scat molds and track casts. This grant supports one piece of a larger project, which also includes the installation of a portable stream table system. This display will support Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education programs focused on Ice Age Floods, river dynamics and the importance of a healthy river ecosystem.
